Caffeinated Content

F**KING SCANDAL.
Now I have to pay through the nose to get my mercury fillings out & porcelain onlays put it. WHY THE HELL IS IT NOT BANNED! My mum died of cancer after both kidneys went & her CNS was destroyed from within. They couldn't figure out why? Now I'm certain it was because of her dental work - but we will never know.
Petitions shouldbe signed to ban this poison immediately. I feel outraged that only now do I come to understand that at least 50% of my fillings are made of Mercury!

Create a video blog

Quite a good video. Amalgam is obviously a bad choice for a dental restorative material although I think this video would be much better if they were more objective - watching it gives one the impression that something simply AWFUL will happen 2 u if you have an amalgam filling!! I believe one of the main reasons why Sweden has phased out amalgam is due to the environmental damage it causes when humans are cremated - and not, as this vid would imply, due to the harmful effects on human health.

What would this 'environmental damage' be exactly?

Perhaps the fact that mercury find its way up the food chain because it BIOACCUMULATES in living bodies and ultimately, human brains.

Amalgam mercury doesn't take the scenic route - it is implanted directly in us. Think about it.

I can't even f'n believe anyone could even consider putting this in someone's teeth to begin with.

Now I just need to find a good mercury removal dentist. Anyone know how to find a local one?

Check out the IAOMT website. Get informed BEFORE doing anything.
Please make sure you find someone who knows what they are doing; full safety protocol will include separate air supply over your nose, for example (to avoid breathing the mercury vapour during drilling).

Create a video blog...instantly.

I went there. But, do they have a directory of accredited dentists who remove them properly?

There is search facility on the home page of that site, bottom left. Where are you?
It is worth taking the time to plan/save for the best procedure available. Don't take chances with mercury - good luck.

Website content

the mercury in amalgam fillings is bound to several other metals, making it completely safe. however, when it is removed by drilling, the heat creates vapor which can be harmful. so if you have amalgam fillings, probably the worst thing to do would be to go and get them all removed.

this is a typical dental association comment designed to misinform and confused. The scientific facts do NOT support your comments. Mercury is released all of the time at levels which would close down a factory. Amalgam is the single greatest continuous source of mercury

Dental

Amalgam as a supposed 'medical treatment' includes the;
1)placement,
2)lifetime, and
3)subsequent removal of the substance, does it not?
And, in your view, an *aspect* of that treatment (the removal) is harmful? Then it is not a 'safe' treatment is it!

You are mistaken incidentally - mercury is continually released from fillings the moment they are placed. This is quite easily tested with the right equipment.
