Actually it is the Lab techs that do the real art and technical work with Veneers – in relation the dentist does not actually do that much compared to lab techs…..The real kicker is that a Lab tech does not even make 1/2 as much as the Dentist

That’s funny you should mention that. It was my concern as well, that they’d be too thick and I’d have horsey teeth but they were awesome about helping me pick a size and shape that suited me, that’s the most important part…that they suit YOU…. Mine are NO wear near thick and look totally natural (the temps I have in while the lab makes the perms). Having temporaries in for a week or two while the lab makes the perms gives me lots of chance to see if I want any changes.

Wow, I just found this video, I’m a patient of Yaletown Dental and have been for years (under my real name of course) for various services, laser, dental etc. Well today I bit the bullet so to speak and had Dr. Sood do 4 veneers and her work is out of this world gorgeous, she’s so meticulous and detailed even on these temporaries. In a few weeks I’ll get the perms in and then do 2 more eventually 8 total. I LOVE THEM!!! I can now smile with pride, thank you Sarah and Dr. Sood.

That is a good question but it is difficult to give a figure without looking at the teeth and the bite. Having said that a good quality crown or veneer could cost approximately a thousand dollars. One wants to ensure that the crown or veneer has the best porcelain for that particular tooth and that the latest technology is being utilized by the dentist and their laboratory. Dr. OK

Whitening your teeth is a separate thing, and of course it costs some extra, but not too much. I recommend laser whitening.

I had them done. Cost me over $10,000 (20 teeth), but it was worth it. Took the b1 shade. The temporary ones discolored a lot and looked really ugly in the end of the period I had to wear them.
My suggestion to anyone who wants to do this: Have your teeth whitened before you have them done. The end result will be better, since veneers are transparent.

depending on where you live it can get really expensive for most. about $500-$800 a tooth. Either way, you’re gonna be spending at least $1000.

Got a question. I am a nailbiter, and I am now noticing a slight lisp with one of my front teeth because the surface in the corer has been worn down. It stinks. Is there a way the dentist can fix that, without taking off part of my natural tooth? I’m scared.

1. On the first visit the doc takes off a few millimeters from my tooth’s surface. What will I do until the second appointment? How will the temporary covers look and hold onto the teeth?
2. I am planning on whitening my teeth as well. I will have to whiten them before going to get my laminates, since laminates can’t change color?
