This is the first time I have actually looked at how they do a sinus life and place implants and, although I had to hide behind my hands a couple of times, thought the whole things amazing. I had both a sinus lift and implants fitted four years ago. I had the lift done and then 15 implants fitted. Although a long process getting to the end stage I have to say my lovely teeth were worth the pain. All of mine done in the dentists chair! Thank god for sedation!!

The “sinus lift” is needed because the patient doesn’t not have enough bone in the maxillary jaw to hold those implants. That is why the sinus is lifted and synthetic or pig bone is placed. It will encourage bone growth in the area so that the implants can be supported.
