    it’s not that deep for amalgam, id put a composite or make deeper the cavity to put the amalgam and make it stronger

    Not good preparation in matter of amalgam stabilty to thin it schould be 1,5mm at minimum and 2mm deep.

    kinito….composite still doesn’t last as long as amalgam. physically it just isn’t possible and will never be possible..why? because amalgam is composed of metals such as zinc, silver, tin, while composite is composed of silica, like glass… metal vs. glass…. metal wins.n cassie, they pile on a bunch because when you condense hard, it pushes the mercury layer to the top…and you want to carve off the rich mercury layer in order that there is less mercury in the filling itself.

    actually, recent changes made to composite formulation allow them to last almost as long as amalgam.
    they still cost you much more.

    Dude, amalgams have been used for over 150 years, and the most reliable formula has been used since the 1970’s. Yes, it doesn’t look so good compared to composites, but they will last a very long time. (Mine have lasted for over thirty years.) Composites look nice, yes, but they cost more and last half as long. If you want longevity, amalgams are the way to go.
